What’s the difference between a bookkeeper, accountant & CPA?

A bookkeeper is responsible for recording, reporting and maintaining your day-to-day business transactions. Whereas an accountant provides insights based on your financial data. We do both.

A CPA is legally able to provide attested audited financial statements, whereas we cannot. We can however create your financial statements and have them audit ready!

Are you a CPA?

I am an accountant, who is CPA eligible. That means I have met all educational and experiential requirements to sit for the exam, which I will finally do, 18 years after receiving my diploma.

I can perform all accounting work with the exception of providing attested audited financial statements. However, we do have partnerships with CPA firms and can help you with this if you need.

Will I still need to hire a CPA, if I hire you?

That depends. If you need attested, audited financial statements, you should hire a Certified Public Accountant.

We can prepare and file your applicable taxes or you can hire a public accounting firm to them. We would prepare and provide the needed financial statements and reports to prepare your taxes.

I’m just starting out, can you help?

Absolutely! In fact, we love newbies. We can make sure your business formation is set up correctly, set up your books and provide business consultations.

Most businesses do these things themselves at the beginning then bring someone in later, when things are mess. That can be costly and time consuming. We can ensure you start off on the right foot, and stay on the right foot!

How secure is our employee, financial and other sensitive information?

Your information is as secure as the bookkeeping software you use, i.e. QuickBooks, Sage, Gusto, etc. Any information stored by us on our servers is stored using bank-grade 256-bit encryption. All email communication is encrypted on our end and our client portal provides end-to-end encryption.

How am I billed?

Our billing works just like your favorite subscription service. You are required to pay your one-time set up fee up and your first month of service when you sign your Client Agreement. After that you will be billed each month on the same date for the services that will be provided for that month.

You can cancel at anytime.
